Another very common question asked by the homeowners (and Realtors) that we work with is, “What impact will the approval of a short sale have on my credit score?”
The reality is that a short sale will still negatively impact your credit, however the “amount” of the impact is subjective. There are credit repair companies, lenders, etc. that sometimes say “with certainty” the impact will be ‘X’ points and maintain its effects for ‘Y’ years, but it all depends on what institution is examining your credit.
